Labour’s shadow tradition secretary Jo Stevens is being handled in hospital for COVID-19.
A press release on the 54-year-old MP’s Twitter account stated: “Jo has requested us to let you already know that she is being handled in hospital for Covid.
“Thanks for all of your good needs we are going to give an replace after we can.”
On New Yr’s Eve a spokesperson for Ms Stevens stated she had been “laid low with COVID for some time”.
Following the announcement that she was in hospital, Labour chief Sir Keir Starmer stated: “Get effectively quickly Jo, an expensive pal and colleague.”
