MORE than 2,000 properties in West Dorset have been with out energy following a big cable fault.
2,052 houses have been out of the blue with out electrical energy in Beaminster at 10.30pm on Monday, December 28, with residents with out energy for practically an hour.
Western Energy Distribution, which supplies electrical energy within the space, was in a position to restore energy to a majority of affected residents at 11.25pm.
82 properties have been with out electrical energy for 2 hours earlier than engineers restored energy to those properties at 12.30am on Tuesday, December 29.
A spokeswoman for Western Energy Distribution apologised for any disruption prompted within the space and stated engineers might be within the space investigating the problem at the moment.
She stated: “It was an underground cable fault and it affected 2,052 prospects at 10.30pm on Monday, December 28 within the Beaminster space.
“By 11.25pm, 1,070 prospects had their energy again on.
“Energy for the remaining 82 properties have been restored at 12.30am on Tuesday. At the moment we might be within the space investigating the fault.”
