Greater than 40 properties are at present with out energy, as engineers battle to return to the rescue because of extreme climate.
The ability reduce was first reported to Electrical energy North West at about 6.25pm yesterday (December 26), with properties within the Ivegill space of Carlisle left in darkness.
It’s believed the outage was brought on by “an sudden incident on [a] excessive voltage cable.”
With yellow climate warnings for wind and rain in place in a single day, engineers have been unable to attend the scene to revive energy, leaving 44 clients with out electrical energy for greater than 12 hours.
A group has been despatched this morning (December 27) to repair the difficulty, and hope to resolve the outage by about 11am.
