The app’s servers trembled underneath the load of tens—if not lots of—of hundreds of listeners flocking to the platform concurrently to listen to Tesla founder Elon Musk speak. Members briefly panicked when the “room” he was talking in shortly stuffed to its 5,000-listener capability and bounced folks attempting to get in. Inside 10 minutes, “overflow” rooms began popping up that Clubhouse piped Elon into. The platform malfunctioned however managed to not collapse.
